IMYM is initiating a new format and structure for supporting our community of Friends to engage directly with one another around topics of activities of shared interest, light, and strength. We call this new participation model “Roundtables”.
Roundtables are not Committees. Roundtables are informal standing, scheduled monthly online meetings that Friends can join as led to discuss topics of shared interest or coordinate their work on shared projects or initiatives. Roundtables don’t have a formal Clerk, but are instead facilitated by a core group of volunteers who feel led to provide stewardship of a particular Roundtable.
IMYM is currently testing this new model through an initial single Roundtable – The Peace and Social Justice Roundtable. See more information at: Peace and Social Justice Roundtable
We may initiate work on other Roundtables in the future once we have gained insight and wisdom through our work with this first effort.
