In-person registration CLOSED on Sunday, September 17.

Program and Schedule

We’re pleased to have Paula Palmer as our Keynote Speaker Saturday morning on the theme “Being Friends of the Truth: A First Step Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples.” Paula is a founder and co-director of Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples, a project which grew out of the work of the Indigenous Peoples Concerns Committee at the Boulder Friends Meeting. TRR’s goal is to build relationships among Native and non-Native communities based on truth, respect, justice, and our shared humanity. Since September 2019 TRR has been a ministry within Friends Peace Teams.

Lodging Options

We have a limited number of the YMCA’s “hotel style” lodge rooms reserved for the gathering. Each room has 2 queen beds. Friends may opt for a private room, but the Colorado Regional Meeting’s cost per person is lower if folks choose to share a room with one or more roommates or family members. We encourage folks to talk with others to find their own roommates and list their names on the registration form. The limited number of remaining rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. It is possible we will run out of rooms before registration closes.

Friends can also register for a YMCA Day Pass to attend the gathering in person without staying at the YMCA– individual meals can be purchased in the dining hall. We hope to make some sessions available for attending online.

The weekend is offered on a voluntary Pay as Led basis.  Pay as Led is a way to remove barriers for people who hesitate to attend because of costs, by removing the need to request help.  The registration form provides information about what actual costs for Colorado Regional are for each type of registration, and registrants can choose the amount they are able to pay.  This system has worked well for many Friends groups.  To be successful it depends on some people voluntarily paying more than their actual costs to balance those who can only pay a part of their costs, (In some settings Meetings have been asked to contribute an amount into a “Pay as Led Fund” they might otherwise have made available to subsidize participation by their members, but we have not set up a system for this.)

For help or to talk with a person, call Eric Wright, Registrar (720) 252-1104 or send an email message to crm.registrar@imym.org.  We hope to see you in Estes Park!
